‘Caribbean Connections and the Folk Memory of The Isle of Scorpions.’

Inspired by a research trip to the island of Cozumel - an ancient pilgrimage site to the moon goddess Ix Chel, and part of a maritime trade route for honey, cacao, jade and obsidian, that connected the eastern coast of the Yucatan to the complex cultures of the Caribbean and the folk-memory of a submerged homeland of the Maya.
